34 Week Belly

This is my belly at 34 weeks! I can't believe we are 6 weeks away... hopefully!

Our Litte Cowboy

As my mother said, "You can take the boy out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the boy!" Kenan is such a joy in our lives! This has been my favorite stage so far! He is talking so much and you can tell he is soaking everything up! He still loves balls of every shape and size! He has quite an arm for throwing and he is unbelievably good at catching! He is still a really good eater and loves vegetables and fruit! He had a doctor's appointment a few weeks ago and he weighed 27 lbs. and was 32 inches tall! He isn't much of a baby anymore! He can still turn on the crocodile tears and poke that bottom lip out with the best of 'em though! We are thankful that he is very friendly and loves to ham it up for anybody that will watch! I'm not really sure where he got his social side from! ;) He waves and blows kisses to anybody that will pay attention at the grocery store, restaurants, or any other public place! We are so thankful to have him and we just know he will be a fabulous big brother to his new brother or sister!

33 Weeks Belly

Again, this is not the best picture but you can see my belly! This was just a few days passed 33 weeks! I seem to be more uncomfortable this time than I was with Kenan! This baby is definitely a mover and a shaker - it is constantly rolling around or has the hiccups! We are getting excited about the new arrival!

Merry Christmas to Me!

This year I got a really special gift from my adoring husband! He bought me the ring of my dreams!

Let me explain! Since before we got married I had envisioned my ring to be a diamond in the middle and emeralds set on either side! Well, that was easier said than done! Apparently Emeralds are really brittle and break easily so no one would even entertain the idea of putting it in a setting! We even tried to have it custom made! So for nearly ten years now we have gone in just about every jewelry store looking for this elusive ring! I had just about decided that it wasn't going to happen!

Well, while we were home for Christmas we just happened into a jewelry store looking for this ring! We had an amazing jeweler who listened to our request and finally paid attention to what we were saying! She asked a very pertinent question, "Is it the Emerald stone that you like or the green color?" Ah ha! She nailed it! It wasn't so much Emeralds as it was indeed the color, kelly green! She was able to show us a setting that we both loved! She also allowed us to visualize the green in the setting by coloring the diamonds in the original setting with a green marker! Genius!

Now what stone is kelly green? She showed us a Tsavorite Garnet the perfect color and they were able to get it put in the setting! Yea!

So when we were having Christmas with my family, unbeknown to anyone, Goldie put the ring in my stocking! Unfortunately he had gone to put Kenan down for a nap when it was my turn to open my stocking! So I get to the ring box wrapped up and I opened it because I had no idea that it was the ring! I had been told that the ring would not be ready until the next week! I about died at the finished product! It was perfect and beautiful! My only regret is that Goldie didn't see my reaction!

So Merry Christmas and Happy 10 Year Anniversary (in June) to me! By the way, Goldie will be on deployment for our 10 year anniversary! I love you, honey! You are the best husband, friend, and father in the whole world!

32 Weeks

Here is my ever growing belly! I am just a couple days passed 32 weeks! It is a horrible picture but the best one of the bunch that we took! I can't believe I am only 8 weeks away from my due date! Don't forget to vote if you think it is a boy or girl!

By the way, the Christmas tree came down as soon as we took this picture! Better late than never! ;)
