We spent that last part of our escapades in Midland. Mother had a big welcome home party for Goldie with all of the family. We had such a great time. We ate Taco Villa almost every day that we were there. We spent a lot of time with family and shopping for the things that we can only get in Texas. It was a wonderful month of leave.

Our Beach House

On a perfect October weekend we met the Purcells and Smiths down in Charleston. We had such a great time and even got upgraded to a 6 bedroom / 6 bath beach house for free. It was a perfect weekend. The weather was beautiful. The kids (all five of them ages 3 and under) all played really well together. We even had a Birtday Fiesta for the five adults who all have birthdays within a month of each other. We look forward to getting together again soon!

During our whirlwind trip we took a few days to go to Vegas! It worked out great because we were already half way there and didn't have to corral the boys on such a long flight from VA. We had a great time. We haven't been able to visit Grandpa Steve and Grannie J as much as we would have liked. It was fun to see them with Kenan and Sladen. The kiddos had a ball. They loved being there. We went and ate at Hash House A Go Go and the food was divine. We also went to Lovell Canyon and roasted hot dogs and rode the four wheelers. It was a gorgeous day and the scenery was amazing. The boys loved being outside and playing in the dirt. We had a great time and hope to get back there soon.
