Thanksgiving

Sladen in his Thanksgiving attire! I can't believe this is the only picture we got of him in his headband. He was so cute. We had to change him out of orange for the Aggie game against tu that evening. The Ags played well but couldn't pull out a win.

Kenan licking the homemade whip cream beater!

We were blessed this year to celebrate Thanksgiving (and all the food) twice! It was so wonderful! The Hollingsworth's were nice enough to have us over for a second time along with some other friends from our Bible Study class. The food was delicious and we stuffed ourselves. The boys loved playing with all of the other kids and the Hollingsworth clan. Kenan loves Brooke, Gage, Amylynn and Tyler so he was in heaven.

We skipped the boys naps and headed over to Chris and Jen Brown's for our second Thanksgiving meal. They had turkey and all the fixings as well. Kenan and Sladen both adopted Jen's parents as their new grandparents. They enjoyed getting some special attention from them. Kenan even got to lick the beaters of Jen's mom's homemade whip cream. We stayed and watched some of the A&M vs. tu game! The Ags played well but couldn't pull out a W for the win column. The Hager's all wore maroon to show our team spirit.

All the food was delicious and we thought we could go a week before we could eat again. Thank you Hollingsworth's and Brown's for opening up your homes and sharing Thanksgiving with us! We are truly thankful for each of you!

November

We are in trouble now! Sladen is pulling up and cruising around the furniture. It is just a matter of time before he is walking. I cannot believe it... where does the time go?
Reagan and Kenan riding together on the stroller at the zoo! We bought a season pass so we can go for free anytime. I have already gotten my money's worth out of it. We go just about every other week. It is great for the little one's to get some energy out, too!
One of my favorite animals at the zoo. This hog is humongous!
The prairie dog exhibit! In Midland you can just go to Midland College and see these creatures in their natural habitat!
There is Elizabeth and Reagan with a prairie dog on their heads! Ha, ha!
Elizabeth and Kenan with the prairie dog!
There is Elizabeth and Kenan again! This is a pretty neat exhibit!
I love each of their faces in this one! Too funny!
The whole gaggle! I am so thankful for these girls who keep me sane and busy when Goldie is gone!
Amy and baby Connor!
The lion! He was looking right at me! I was only several feet from him.
The mommy lion and three of her cubs.
Giraffe
Uh oh! Look who discovered the toy box!
Look, I know how to use a spoon.
A little hammock fun.
One of our morning walk days. Baby Connor and Baby Sladen are all smiles.
Throwing leaves. The trees are gorgeous this fall!
I love this one of Reagan throwing the leaves. She is so cute!

Where Does the Time Go?

I can't believe that it is already November! Where does the time go? We are cruising through the months since Goldie returned. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

My baby boy is now 8 months old. He started crawling the week before my birthday in October so out came the baby gates once again. He is a quick little devil. He started pulling up onto the furniture the last week in October. Now he pulls up onto everything. He has found the toy box and occasionally I will see him pulled up onto it pulling out toys. He is beginning to scoot around the furniture. He is also eating baby food at every feeding. He is such a joy and a boy full of smiles and laughter. I finally weaned him and that allows us a lot more freedom to get out and about. However, I am not enjoying buying formula.

Kenan is getting so big. He brings us much joy, also! He is two so he pushes our buttons as well. He says some of the funniest things. The other day we picked him up from Sunday school and he had a paper airplane. I asked him what he had learned and he said, "how to fly airplanes." I said okay but I then asked if he learned about Jesus. He said, "Yes, Jesus flies airplanes!" Too funny. He is very observant. He loves Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go. He also loves chocolate. People tell me all the time that he talks really well for his age.

Now we are gearing up for the holidays and another deployment. We have a lot on our plate coming up and we are looking forward to spending time with family.

Laughing at the Zebra

This was hilarious! Sladen thought Kenan was hysterical in his zebra costume. He died laughing any time he saw "the zebra!"
