Swimming, Swimming and More Swimming

While we were in Texas we did our fair share of swimming. We went out to the Carruth's with all of the Dunn clan on the hottest day of the summer so far. It was 110 degrees that day and it was hot. Kirk made a rule that everybody "had" to swim. Sladen wondered out onto the driveway with no shoes on and within seconds had blistered his feet. It was HOT! Everybody actually did get into the pool except for Aunt Debbie. We had such a good time. Both of my boys are water babies and love to be in the water. Kenan even went down the slide a few times. I couldn't believe that both of my parents swam and dad even went down the slide.

We, also, swam at Heather and Rusty's new pool. They had just built a house and had moved in a few weeks prior. They were out of town and gave Rhesa the rule of the roost. So we tested out their new pool a few times. We really enjoyed swimming there, too.

My boys were so exhausted during our time in Texas because we going non-stop. I believe that everyone had a great time!

For almost the full month of June we spent time in Texas! One of the first days we were there we tagged along on a playdate that Rhesa had with LeeAnne and her girls. We had such a great time. You would not believe how much that Sladen and Colton look alike. The whole time we were in Texas people confused the two of them. They have a lot of the same mannerisms as well. They were cute together. We had such a good time hanging out with Auntie Reese. I think that Sladen and Colton are going to be good friends!

Kenan's Preschool Program

Kenan's preschool had an end of year program where his class sang a couple songs! Kenan was quite the performer. He enjoyed it so much. When he was done he kept asking if he could go talk on the microphone. Uh - oh, we might have a littler performer on our hands. He was so cute!

The Best Babysitters Ever

Brooke and Amylynn are the best babysitters ever! Kenan and Sladen love them both and get excited any time they know that they are coming. It helps that Brooke and Amylynn love the boys, too! We were getting ready to head to Texas for the month of June and so they wanted to come get some time with the boys before we left. Not only are they the best babysitters but they are just all around great young ladies. If I had daughters I would want them to be just like these two. I hope my boys can find somebody like them someday to marry.... a long, long time from now! ;-)
