The Zoo

The butterfly garden!
Kenan checking out the hog! He was trying to wake it up!
A little monkey!

Don't you love my hat?
Nana and this cool looking tree!
Kenan and Da'Dunn checking out the elephants!
One day while my parent were here we spent the day at the zoo! Norfolk has a really nice zoo that we enjoyed immensely! Kenan especially loved the hogs! He made pig sounds all day! It was fun!

Baby #2

I'm going to get out of chronological order here! I went today to make sure this pregnancy is actually in the uterus since I have had an ectopic! I'm glad that they could do it so soon since I am 13 weeks now! Anyway, everything looked great and here is a picture of the little one! Be sure and vote on the right hand side of my blog if you think we should find out the sex or not! Maybe we can be persuaded!

The Boat, well really a ship!
These were some pictures taken when we thought that Goldie was going to be leaving on his first work-up! Mom and dad are going to be gone whenever Goldie gets back so we had to take pictures! However, they were delayed a couple days so we got to see him again before he left!

Washington DC

My parents came into town the day that Sarah and the kiddos left! They hadn't seen Kenan since his 1st birthday in April so they were dying to get to see him! They had never been to VA either so we were going to get to see a whole new set of sights!

The first weekend they were here we went to Washington DC! Goldie and my parents had never been before! We took three days and went around to see the sights! This required a lot of walking but it was well worth it to see everything! We could have stayed another week and still not seen everything we would have liked to have seen! We really enjoyed all that Washington DC had to offer!

Whew... We have been busy!

Kenan loves to crawl onto the dog bed whether or not they are in it! Usually they are! ;)

Where is my belly button! I know I have one somewhere!

Those are just a couple cute pictures of Kenan that we took recently! He is a ham! He thinks that everybody should be paying him their full attention everywhere we go - especially restaurants! He is a lot of fun and full of personality! He is also a very happy baby most of the time! He will make a pig sound and says several words - Rock, dog, da-da, ma-ma, hot to name a few! His laugh is extremely contagious! It is one of the best sounds that I have ever heard! He is a joy in our lives and we are so blessed to have him!
So on with our August... Sarah and the kids stopped by for a couple days because they had been to DC. We had a wonderful time hanging out and catching up on "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Army Wives". We also played some Settlers of Catan which we are totally addicted to! We went to Chic-Fil-A one day and got lunch to go and had a picnic at the park close to our house! We then let the kiddos play but as you can see they were not the only ones playing! Kenan and Ethan are starting to acknowledge each other and play pretty well together! Sydney is always in the mix, too! We look forward to the cousins growing up and being close as I always was with my cousins!

More to come from my parents visit later...

Cousins

We were blessed to live so close to family for a little over a year while we were in Florida! I can already tell that we will miss that a ton while we are in VA! Although we do have some fantastic friends here and I look forward to what God has in store for us while we are here! I ran across these pictures of when Garrett and Sarah and the kiddos came to visit before we moved and I wanted to post them! They are too cute!

Groundhogs

While we were in New Jersey every time we would leave base in the evenings to go eat we would see these critters all over base! Originally I thought they were Nutrias! After I did some research I discovered they were Groundhogs! We would literally see about five or six every time we would drive on or off base in the evenings! That is until I had my camera with me! We went two days and didn't see any when I had my camera! However, they did finally come back out and we got some pictures! Base Security stopped and asked if he could help us when we stopped to snap a picture! He could not believe that we had never seen groundhogs before! He laughed and carried on!
